For me as a worker that wage only minimum rate I think it will really have an effect. The first thing that will be affected will be the budget for food for this coming Christmas and also for the presents. It may not be the same as the past Christmas but i think it won't matter for as long as you celebrate it with your love ones and your completely happy that is more than enough.
