Keep foods fresh longer, save money

Food prices skyrocketed last month and are now almost 4% higher than last year at this time. A report says that Americans throw away 150 billion pounds of food - that averages to about $1365 in spoiled food per family.  So it's doubly important not to waste a thing. One way to save money is to give your food longer shelf life. Russ Mitchell speaks with ShopSmart Magazine Editor-in-Chief, Lisa Lee Freeman, on how to do that.
